Javier Garrido

Spanish defender Javier Garrido joined Manchester City from Real Sociedad in August 2007 for a fee of £1.5m.

Garrido had been with Sociedad since the 2003-04 season, scoring once in more than 80 appearances for the Basque club, who were relegated from the Primera Liga in 2006/07.

His first season at Eastlands was a successful one as he was a consistent performer for the Citizens.
